Patrick O. Strickland – Independent Journalist



Patrick O. Strickland is a journalist from Dallas, Texas. He works as an online producer at Al Jazeera English Online.

Splitting his time between Doha, Qatar, and Athens, Greece, his reportage focuses on migration, human rights, poverty, grassroots political movements and social and economic justice.

Prior to joining Al Jazeera English, Patrick was based in Beirut as the deputy managing editor of Syria Deeply. Before that, he was based in the occupied Palestinian territories for four years.

He has reported from more than a dozen countries, including Palestine-Israel, Lebanon, Iraq, Tunisia, Greece, Slovakia, Serbia, Germany, Hungary, Macedonia and the United States, among others.

His multi-platform reportage has appeared at outlets like VICE News, Deutsche Welle, Middle East Eye, Alternet and In These Times, among others.
