VICE News: Palestinians crack down on militants in Lebanon refugee camp

For my latest story at VICE News, I teamed up with photographer Dylan Collins to visit Ein al-Hilweh, a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon that is presently struggling to control its declining security situation.

Locals told us that large swaths of the camp — which is one square kilometer and home to more than 75,000 Palestinian refugees — have been turned into no-go zones controlled by local affiliates of Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian arm of Al-Qaeda, and the Islamic State.
