My latest Al Jazeera English story explores the ways in in which displaced Palestinians in the blockaded Gaza Strip are struggling to rebuild the homes and communities destroyed by Israel during the latest war.

With construction materials being allowed into Gaza at a snail’s pace and the international community ostensibly indifferent, many Palestinians have taken reconstruction into their own hands.
