EI: Palestinians in Israel beaten, arrested for Gaza support

My latest feature story at The Electronic Intifada reports the violence Palestinian citizens of Israel have endured since Israel’s latest military offensive on the Gaza Strip began last month. While more than 2,000 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have been killed by Israel’s occupation military thus far, Palestinian citizens of Israel have been beaten and arrested at Gaza solidarity  protests in cities like Tel Aviv, Jaffa and Haifa. To a lesser extent, leftwing Israelis have also been targeted by police and rightwing vigilantes. 

The violence is not limited to protests, either. As I report, many Palestinians have received violent threats on Facebook and other social media outlets.
